This is an aside titled 'Hillary Finally Wins' dated 6/7/08

My mother once said, “why are you so mean to her?” when we were watching the debates together. “Because I like her,” was my reply. Hanna Rosin best expressed this as her “trouble rallying for Hillary” is she “doesn’t identify anymore with the part of herself that’s a pathbreaker, a radical, a free spirit.” But today that spirit was in full force. Her concession speech was beautiful: a testament to how far our nation has come and an implicit apology for some of her campaign’s disgraceful behavior.
